Property Lawyer | 2-3 years' PQE

Our client, a highly regarded specialist law firm, is looking to appoint a property lawyer to become a key member of their successful property team who have a passion for their work. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys client contact and being involved in substantive legal work, with the support of an energetic team at the leading edge of property law.

You will have the opportunity in this role to undertake top quality work ranging from large-scale development projects through to residential and commercial conveyancing and leasing. You will work in a fairly flat structured team supporting Property partners and senior solicitors with a variety of work, including some cross-over with their commercial department, and you will have autonomy to run your own files, with mentoring available as required.

To be successful in this role you will be an intermediate level solicitor whose clients matter to you and you will have the commitment to exceed their expectations. Your clients will be a range of property developers, local and international businesses (privately owned and listed), start up and growing enterprises, and entrepreneurial and private clients across a range of industry sectors.

Some of the must haves the firm are seeking include:

• Passion for property law and desire to further develop in this field
• 2-3 years' PQE specialising in property law within a reputable practice in New Zealand
• Stellar communication skills - relationship building is key
• Leasing experience as well as the ability to manage residential and commercial conveyancing from start to finish
• Strong academics and technical ability
• Team player with a sense of humour

Experience with subdivisions and development work would be an advantage.
